FoodRight Community Initiative
Milwaukee has the highest rate of childhood obesity and according to 2014 statistics, its not getting better. In an effort to make a difference, Contour Weight Loss a division of the Clinic of Cosmetic Surgery has joined forces with FoodRight to implement a proprietary educational program (perfected in New York City) by the Youth Chef Academy to help with health and eating disparities. Youth and families learn about the personal and environmental impacts of food choices while they build skills and self confidence in cooking and eating wholesome low-cost meals. The program is in conjunction with the Milwaukee Boys & Girls Clubs.
