Gummy Bear Implants Approved by FDA

We are excited to now offer the FDA approved “Form Stable” silicone implants.  Although these newly approved implants may not be the best fit for everyone, they do offer some exciting new advantages; Less rupture/leakage rate, more natural appearance, less “rippling” and less capsular contracture rate.  These implants have been used in Europe for years, thus diminishing many questions of long term results.

Breast implants continues to be the number one cosmetic surgical procedure in the United States. And now there’s something new for women that some believe is not only safer, but more natural looking, too.

abc_gummy_bear_implant_jef_120517_wgLate in 2012 and early in 2013, the FDA approved Gummy Bear implants from two of the largest, most professional pharmaceutical companies in the world: Sientra and Allergan. The FDA’s endorsements are good news for all women considering breast surgery.

Nicknamed “Gummy Bears,” women in counties all over the world had been using them for nearly 20 years. After years of testing, they have now been approved for use in the U.S.

The Gummy Bear procedure can be done under sedation or general anesthesia. Typically, the breast implant procedure can take 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the patient’s history. After surgery, most women take ibuprofen and a low-dose narcotic. No special exercises or wraps are needed. Use of a surgical bra this is a matter of individual preference.

Dermapen Treatment Tightens, Lifts and Rejuevenates the Skin.

Dermapen is a new technology in micro-needling procedures, which are used to stimulate the production of collagen within the skin to provide skin rejuvenation and plumping. The Dermapen is a small hand-held device that is often used to treat acne scars, fine lines and help remove stretch marks. This device utilizes mechanized puncturing actions to provide fast, effective treatments and uses disposable needles, so there is no risk of cross-contamination.

The Dermapen fractional micro delivery provides unparalleled collagen induction via fragmented delivery of needles into the epidermis and dermis. These micro injuries to the skin encourage and harness the power of the body’s innate ability to re-grow and repair the skin through the physiology of collagen induction.

The Dermapen’s controlled precision allows for the three phases of CIT mechanics of new collagen growth to occur.
